American President Lines
| 12927 | American President Lines | President Wilson | 1972 | $4.00 | |
A wonderful envelope and sheet of onionskin writing paper from the stationery packet given to passengers at the beginning of a transpacific cruise in 1972. The Air Mail envelope shows a portrait of the ship superimposed on a world map showing the ship's route. The writing paper is printed with the line name and logo in color, and is watermarked with the eagle as well. Dampness has sealed the envelope, but excellent condition otherwise. |
|||||
Cunard
| 2614 | Cunard | Caronia | 1948 | $5.00 | |
A sheet of stationery, white stock with a color image of 'Caronia' at sea. Several available. |
|||||
| 16216 | Cunard | Mauretania | 1908 | $11.99 | |
|
Acquired with a collection of ephemera from a 1908 voyage on board Mauretania is this sheet of folded notepaper bearing the Cunard house flag. Though the ship of origin is not in doubt, the paper was printed to be used on all vessels, and only "R.M.S." appears, with space provided for the traveler to fill in the appropriate ship's name. This is actually a large sheet folded vertically, creating four 5" x 8" pages. The stock does exhibit some pale staining, soiling, and wrinkling overall, but still a neat bit of memorabilia rapidly nearing its 100th birthday! |

|||||
| 10917 | Cunard | Queen Elizabeth | 1960 | $5.00 | |
This is an unused sheet of folded note paper from Queen Elizabeth. Light blue-grey stock with a color portrait of the ship at upper left, her name and line at right. Near mint condition. |
|||||
| 9409 | Cunard | Queen Elizabeth | 1967 | $12.00 | |
This is a nice, unused lettercard, the only flaw being that the right edges have adhered. A slight bit of steam would probably remedy this. Some pink & yellow tinting appears to have been added to the well known Turner portrait. Somehow, I don't think Mr. Turner would approve! Sharp corners and very nice! |

| 2611 | Cunard | Queen Mary | 1948 | $5.00 | |
Writing paper. Folded note paper, light grey stock with a color image of the 'Mary'. A few available. |

|||||
French Line
| 2624 | French Line | France | 1912 | $40.00 | |
This 12 postcard booklet, typical of the French, is actually a souvenir of St. Nazaire. I have included it as one of the cards is a wonderful, overhead stern view of the France of 1912, in dry-dock. Each card separated by tissue. |
|||||
| 10890 | French Line | (unknown) | 1912 | $14.00 | |
A wonderful bit of ephemera from CGT. This is an unused sheet of writing paper with its matching envelope, both pieces bearing the CGT flag in color. The note paper is also printed with "A Bord .........le .......19....", which gave the writer a place to note the ship and date of travel. The envelope shows some soil, however both pieces are still in very good condition. We have dated this piece circa 1912, as dated correspondence has appeared on similar letterhead; though we do not know for certain the length of the period during which this particular design was used. |
|||||
Grace Line
| 12243 | Grace Line | Santa Clara | 1946 | $8.00 | |
A cover from the Santa Clara's maiden voyage of 1946. The date of the cancel on this example is indecipherable, but if one were to open this still-sealed envelope the sheet within, placed by the Seamen's Church Institute Cover Agency, would describe the ship and her itinerary. We'll leave that up to you! |
|||||
| 12256 | Grace Line | Santa Isabel | 1946 | $8.00 | |
Maiden voyage cover from the Santa Isabel, bearing a Peruvian postmark of 24 November, 1946. This cover was posted on behalf of the Seamen's Church Institute Cover Agency, and the still-sealed envelope will be found to contain a printed sheet describing the ship and her itinerary. A nice, clean example. |
|||||
| 12241 | Grace Line | Santa Maria | 1946 | $8.00 | |
A cover from the maiden voyage of the Santa Maria, addressed to the Seamen's Church Institute in New York City. The envelope has been opened, but inside remains the printed sheet from the Seamen's Church Institute Cover Agency describing the vessel, and including a small color portrait of her at top. It also lists the ports on the ship's itinerary, including Valparaiso, where this cover was cancelled. Neat! |
|||||

Maiden voyage cover from Santa Rosa's first voyage, Seattle to New York. Postmarked at Seattle 20 December, 1932. |

| 9483 | Holland-America Line | Veendam | 1933 | $16.00 | |
This is a charming letter penned aboard Veendam on 1 July, 1933. Written on line stationery, and contained in a matching, green tissue-lined envelope, the piece bears a Paquebot postmark. The flap was torn through when the letter was opened, but thankfully the N.A.S.M. flag was barely nicked. The sender writes with anticipation regarding her upcoming wedding. Delightful reading - a wonderful bit of ephemera! |
|||||
Italian Line

SS Mormacgulf maiden voyage cover, bearing a Brazilian cancel of 29 June, 1946, and mailed to the Seamen's Church Institute. It is likely that the sealed envelope contains a printed sheet describing the ship and her voyage, however we will let you break the seal, if you wish! |
|||||
| 12245 | Moore-McCormack Lines | Mormacland | 1946 | $8.00 | |
Maiden voyage cover from the Mormacland, with a Brazilian cancel which appears to be 26 November, 1946. This cover, posted on behalf of the Seamen's Church Institute Cover Agency, likely contains a sheet of paper describing the vessel and her voyage, however the seal of the envelope has not been broken. A neat example. |
|||||
North German Lloyd
| 12252 | North German Lloyd | Bremen | 1929 | $12.00 | |
An interesting cover in that it has been postmarked though no address appears. Cancelled at Washington, D.C. on 22 July, 1929. The envelope features a large, port broadside image of the ship. Quite unusual. |
|||||
| 13324 | North German Lloyd | Bremen | 1930 | $8.00 | |
A large sheet of writing paper and matching envelope from the Bremen. The envelope shows soiling and wear due to the fact that it was the vehicle which contained a number of stationery items, and suffered a bit in protecting them! The writing paper shows light toning as well, but both items bear a wonderful illustration of the NDL house flag. Not bad for seventy-year-old stationery! |
|||||

| 13325 | North German Lloyd | Bremen | 1930 | $12.00 | |
A beautiful sheet of writing paper from the Bremen, complete with its matching envelope. The envelope flap has become partially sealed, but can be opened enough to reveal a dark blue lining which matches the line's house flag as it appears printed on both items. A very nice example of North German Lloyd stationery. |

Pacific Far East Line
| 12924 | Pacific Far East Line | (unknown) | 1972 | $3.00 | |

A single sheet of letterhead and an envelope from the Pacific Far East Lines. The house flag appears on the writing paper in dark blue only, but is printed in full color on the envelope flap. Unused, but apparently exposed to damp air which has sealed the envelope - otherwise a nice bit of PFEL ephemera. |
|||||
United States Lines

Cover from the United States Lines cargo vessel American Clipper. Bearing a US Navy postmark of 27 February, 1946. |

Cover from SS American Merchant's maiden voyage of December, 1945. This example postmarked at London on 21 January. Rubber stamped on the reverse with certification from the United States Lines. An attractive item. |
|||||
Ward Line
| 12254 | Ward Line | Iroquois | 1940 | $16.00 | |
A rare cover from the Cuba Mail Line. This is a very interesting piece, as below the map of the ship's intended route for her first voyage is a stamp indicating that "international developments" have caused the inaugural voyage of the ship to be indefinitely postponed. The cover did go to sea, however, as it bears the stamp of the SS Monterey - she was apparently operating a similar service. Postmarked at Vera Cruz on 10 July, 1940. Quite a fascinating story for one little cover to tell! |
|||||
Zim Lines
| 12250 | Zim Lines | Jerusalem | 1953 | $12.00 | |
A wonderful cover from Jerusalem's maiden voyage, departing Haifa for New York on April 29, 1953. An attractive cover in excellent condition. |
