| We are proud to offer this
rare and exceptional four-foot-long waterline
model of the sister ships Michelangelo and Raffaello.
This extremely impressive and elaborate replica was
designed and built for travel agency display in the 1960s by Arthur
G. Henning (Art Model Studios) of Mount Vernon, New York. The
vessel features numerous details including multicolored deck chairs and umbrellas surrounding her six
lighted swimming pools. Constructed of wood with outer bulkheads and rails in
brass; her deck fittings and boats are diecast metal. Her inimitable
cage funnels are masterfully crafted and hand soldered, also in brass. The model is
lit from within, and the extensive use of acrylic panels makes her
appear quite dramatic when illuminated. View the Travel
Agency Models album on our Facebook
page for a series of photos beginning with the model's condition as she appeared
prior to and throughout the restoration process. The model is
offered uncased; however a custom plinth with glass dust cover is
available.
