Given a new life after an extensive refit in 1970 at Trieste, Cunard's Carinthia went on to sail as Fairsea for Sitmar, then to Princess Cruises. She sparkled in her all-white livery and was a popular vessel - a stand-out among the small group of classic liners that went on to serve successfully as cruisers. Per request of the consignor, the model illustrated above and at left was finished to represent both the Dawn Princess (port side) and the Fair Princess (starboard).
