| The predecessor to the SS United
States and a classic liner in her own right, the S.S.
America sadly ended her career under a foreign flag, broken
and largely forgotten on the beach at Fuerteventura, Canary
Islands, but remains a much beloved liner to many who knew her.
Designed by William Francis Gibbs, she was clearly a working ship
as well as a passenger liner and proudly served as flagship of the
United States Lines until 1952. Measuring approximately 43.5"
in length in 1:200 scale. Hardwood or traditional painted base
with glass dust cover included. Built on a commission basis. Call
