Italian Line
| 11150 | Italian Line | Cristoforo Colombo | 1956 | $249.99 | |
This is an exquisite souvenir item, bearing a decal on the reverse, (with an image of the ship) indicating the item was purchased from the Colombo's gift shop. This item is hand-painted, and is incredibly beautiful. The condition is excellent, with only a very slight bit of wear to the gold rim. Signed by hand on reverse: Fabiola, Italy - Savinelli, Genova. From the estate of a woman who traveled frequently to Italy - certainly a rare item! |

| 11853 | Italian Line | Cristoforo Colombo | 1965 | $30.00 | |
A wonderful souvenir from the Colombo - these tambourines were provided to the passengers, likely on "Gala Night", so that they might participate in the festivities. We were absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to acquire a total of eighteen tambourines from a family who traveled on the Raffaello and Da Vinci, as well as on the Colombo. You may have your choice of colors: red green, or yellow - all are in excellent condition. Neat mementos! |

| 11854 | Italian Line | Leonardo da Vinci | 1968 | $30.00 | |
A souvenir, Gala Night tambourine from the Da Vinci - part of a large lot of tambourines acquired from a family who were lucky enough to sail frequently on Italia vessels. Yellow plastic with the ship's profile and name in blue on the white head. A charming memento. |

| 11345 | Italian Line | Michelangelo | 1973 | $30.00 | |
Typically Italia! A souvenir tambourine, likely distributed during the Gala Dinner or festivities aboard Michelangelo. The condition is very good, with some minor wear to the lettering - (actually, this may not be wear at all, and merely a printing flaw). Perhaps not quite as charming as the larger wooden tambourines which we find from the 1950's, but still a neat souvenir seemingly unique to the Italian Line! |

| 11855 | Italian Line | Raffaello | 1970 | $30.00 | |
Another wonderful souvenir tambourine - this from Raffaello. We were lucky enough to acquire a large Italia tambourine collection, so you may have your choice of red, blue, or yellow! Each in very nice condition, though undoubtedly played enthusiastically! |

| 11861 | Italian Line | Rex | 1932 | $650.00 | |
A truly magnificent item! This is a cameo lamp, carved from a large helmet shell, and featuring a wonderful portrait of the Rex at sea. Mounted on a turned wooden base, and complete with its original wiring, the lamp lights beautifully. A heavy brass flange has been cemented into the shell, allowing it to be unscrewed from the base in order to replace the light bulb. The ship's image is wonderful, complete with smoke billowing from her funnels, and her name carved on a scroll beneath. Condition excellent, though a piece of wood has split and is missing from the upper portion of the base. This is towards the rear, so does not detract when the piece is viewed head on. We occasionally find cowrie shell trinket dishes similarly carved, however this is only the second lamp we have come across. An incredible memento from the Rex. |

| 14614 | Kloster Cruise Line | Sunward | 1968 | $32.99 | |
|
A truly delightful souvenir from Knut Kloster! This little dish from Rosenthal bears a wonderful portrait of the first Sunward, built in 1966. The success of this vessel helped bring into being the Kloster trio: Skyward, Southward, and Starward. As far as we can tell, this ship finished her long and notable career in Singapore, as the M/V Empress. The dish is fine porcelain, decorated in black and gold, and is in pristine condition. A wonderful, and certainly rare, memento! |

| 2509 | Kloster Cruise Line | Sunward II | 1978 | $12.00 | |
Another neat little souvenir spoon - it's nice to see that some lines continue to issue these, as they have always been poplar souvenirs. This example has a pewter finish with an image of the ship at the top of the handle. |

| 12392 | Kloster Cruise Line | Sunward II | 1979 | $24.00 | |

A beautiful, large, hand-painted souvenir plate from Kloster, featuring a portrait of one of the line's trio: M/S Skyward, M/S Southward, and M/S Starward. The plate is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, or wear to the gold line at the edge. The image speaks for itself! |

Lauro Lines
| 11586 | Lauro Lines | Angelina Lauro | 1968 | $950.00 | |
Another incredibly rare and unusual piece! We were thrilled to have the opportunity to acquire this marvelous, hand-crafted portable game table from Angelina Lauro. Suitcase-sized, the locking case houses the removable legs, as well as two elaborate card boxes. The boxes and case are inlayed with floral designs, and the case features an incredible, (also inlayed) portrait of the vessel herself. Complete with keys. Tucked inside this wonderful piece are several newspaper clippings reporting the ships tragic and fiery demise at Charlotte Amalie, U.S. Virgin Islands, March 30, 1979. We hesitate to call this a one-of-a-kind item, but it is certainly likely that the number in existence is exceedingly small! |

Lion Ferry
| 16053 | Lion Ferry | Prince of Fundy | 1970 | $49.99 | |
|
We were delighted to run across this beautiful example of transfer ware from the gift shop on board the Prince of Fundy. We had seen large souvenir plates previously, but this is the first stein we have acquired, and it is a beauty! Almost entirely covered with transfer decoration, with a large portrait of the vessel, front and back - a rare occasion when left-handers seem to have been given consideration! Quite a bit of descriptive text appears on the base; identical (as one would expect) to that which we had recorded from the back of the souvenir plates. Manufactured in England by Enco National. We have no option but to label this example as perfect - no nicks, chips, cracks, or crazing. A truly lovely display item from the famous Prince of Fundy. |

Lloyd Triestino
| 12211 | Lloyd Triestino | Galileo Galilei | 1963 | $125.00 | |
A truly delightful enameled souvenir spoon from Lloyd Triestino's Galileo Galilei. A tiny figure of Galileo appears at the top of the handle, and he appears to be holding a ball, presumably preparing to drop it from the famous leaning tower! The ship's name and portrait appear in the enameled bowl - a very nice item which came to us all the way from New Zealand! |

| 9768 | Matson Lines | Lurline | 1958 | $6.00 | |
A Matson specialty - here we have a photo of hula lessons at sea, during a 1958 cruise aboard Lurline. This is another wonderful 5" x 7" black & white photograph, we assume recorded by the ship's photographer, from a lot of 42 photos recently acquired from a West Texas estate. Each photo has been carefully preserved in a Matson photo folder, and is in mint condition. One left! |
|||||
| 9769 | Matson Lines | Lurline | 1958 | $6.00 | |
More photos! The infamous "spoon & potato" race in what appears to be Lurline's Verandah Ballroom on A Deck. One photo available of the potatoes in transit, the second of a single spud reaching its final ice bucket destination! Each in a mint photo folder. Delightful! |
|||||
| 9770 | Matson Lines | Lurline | 1958 | $6.00 | |
Again in one of Lurline's portrait photo folders, a photo of what appears to be a ship's raffle. Four of these available, three picturing the ticket line, and the fourth the raffle in progress. 5" x 7" black & white - nice memories! |
|||||
| 9771 | Matson Lines | Lurline | 1958 | $6.00 | |

|||||
| 9772 | Matson Lines | Lurline | 1958 | $6.00 | |
One of the last six photos from this lot of 42 wonderful shots - this of a cocktail party on board Lurline. Your choice of one of four different shots, (two duplicates), black & white glossy in a portrait photo folder from the ship. Very nice! |
|||||
| 9790 | Matson Lines | Lurline | 1958 | $16.00 | |
This is a neat little photo booklet from the Pacific Army Air Force Exchange Service, Territory of Hawaii, containing 12 black & white photos taken aboard Lurline some time between late January and March 0f 1958. The majority of the photos show passengers in their stateroom - one of the Lanai Suites on B Deck. There are also photos taken from the dock, which show the departing travelers waving from their private promenade. It is likely these photos were taken by visitors bidding the departing passengers farewell, and were presented to them upon completion of their voyage. A very nice memento. |
|||||
| 12266 | Matson Lines | Mariposa | 1932 | $12.00 | |
A collection of seven photos of passengers on board the Mariposa just prior to and after departure from Honolulu Harbor on 11 August, 1932. Five of the photos show the passengers bedecked with leis, while two photos appear to have been snapped later during the voyage, or perhaps at the time of the ship's arrival at her west coast destination. A neat archive. |

| 8727 | Matson Lines | Mariposa/Monterey | 1962 | $120.00 | |
A wonderful souvenir - a "punch out & build" cardboard model, absolutely complete, and still in its original envelope. The envelope shows a bit of foxing and is torn, but the folded board with the model pieces is unblemished and entirely intact. A very rare and unusual souvenir from Matson. |

| 12264 | Matson Lines | Matsonia | 1931 | $12.00 | |
An archive of seven photos from a crossing to Hawaii on board Matsonia, arriving September 1, 1931. The first photo is a wonderful shot of the ship, followed by four shots snapped from the pier near the gangplank, upon which the Matson Navigation Co. banner is clearly visible. The fifth is a shot of passengers on deck; and the last, a photo of the lei-bedecked Martin family, who made the crossing. |

| 2651 | Matson Lines | (unknown) | 1950 | $12.00 | |
Bon Voyage! These small, red satin flags with the Matson logo were given to passengers so they could wave them from the side of the ship during departures. It is also likely that they were incorporated into table centerpieces in the ships' dining rooms. Wonderful! |

The ship's stats are listed on the reverse. We have two of these, one includes the handwritten date: Sept. 7, 1963. |

| 12212 | Monarch Cruise Lines | Monarch Star | 1976 | $75.00 | |
A lovely souvenir plate produced while the former Mooremack liners Argentina and Brasil were under charter from Holland-America to the newly formed Monarch Cruise Lines. The sisters, (at that time Volendam and Veendam) were renamed Monarch Sun and Monarch Star. This example, from the Monarch Star, is in beautiful condition. A nice memento from a brief period in the careers of these multi-lived liners! |

Moore-McCormack Lines
| 15983 | Moore-McCormack Lines | Argentina | 1958 | $199.99 | |
|
This is a magnificent piece - a sterling silver ashtray produced to commemorate the launch of the s/s Argentina. The bowl-shaped piece, intended to function as an ashtray, was manufactured in Buenos Aires of 3.5 ounces of sterling silver, which includes an 1884 Argentine coin applied within the hand-hammered bowl. The exterior of the piece is expertly and stylishly engraved: "On the occasion of the launching of the S.S. Argentina - Moore-McCormack Lines, Inc. - 1958." In addition to the sterling hallmarks, the piece is stamped: "Wright Soc Anon, Buenos Aires." A truly lovely memento of exceptional quality. |

| 13169 | Moore-McCormack Lines | Argentina/Brasil | 1958 | $399.99 | |
A very impressive set of cocktail glasses from Moore-McCormack. A wonderful color portrait of one of the twins, Argentina and Brasil, appears on the side. The vessel appears as did the ships when they first entered service. The glasses were certainly intended to hold "doubles", and weigh in at just a hair under 1 lb. each. What is most impressive is the condition - absolutely mint, with no signs of use or wear to the image. A magnificent set for your bar! |

An excellent example of the hand-colored souvenir ceramic tray produced by Delano Studios for SS Brasil and her sister. This particular piece is in wonderful condition, showing nearly imperceptible wear to the gold rim striping. Pierced through the foot on the reverse to facilitate hanging, should one desire to do so. These are getting increasingly difficult to locate. |

| 11842 | Moore-McCormack Lines | Brazil/Argentina/ Uruguay | 1948 | $74.99 | |
This is a nice example an item which is difficult to categorize. These are considered by some to be an ashtray, but we have also seen them labeled as a wine bottle coaster. These heavy ceramic pieces are sometimes found in the company of several smaller items, each of which bears an image of one of the ports visited by the Mooremack trio. Produced for the line by Delano Studios, the image is hand-colored, and there is text on the reverse describing the ships and their itineraries. This particular example excellent, with light wear to the gold rim. |

Each coaster features a different South American or Caribbean scene, which is described on the reverse. Always difficult to find a complete set of six! Delano also produced a large wine bottle or carafe coaster, which features a portrait of one of the lines famous trio; Brazil, Argentina, or Uruguay. Condition of this set is excellent. |
