Discovered at an estate, with a great deal of airline ephemera dating 1950's-1960's, this is a wonderful, in-flight menu from JAL. The cover art, described as detail of a 19th century kimono from the Tokyo National Museum Collection, is printed on slick, card stock. Within, one finds eight pages, which include a wine list, snack menu, and luncheon menu - printed (of course) in both English and Japanese characters. Indicated on the reverse as an eastbound or westbound San Francisco - Honolulu - Tokyo flight. Neat!

Lufthansa

16462

Lufthansa   1967   $17.99

A neat stoneware stein from Lufthansa. We have, on occasion, puzzled over the proper dating of these items, so we were more than delighted when we acquired recently a collection that included a number of these, each dated as to the year they were obtained. This example is a creamy colored bisque pottery with a clear glaze., decorated in blue. The glaze shows very fine crazing overall, but the item is otherwise in excellent condition. Stamped "Made In Germany" on the base, and dated 1967.
