A simple but attractive cup and saucer from Air Canada. White with a narrow rim stripe in gold. The cup is by Royal Doulton, the saucer by Wedgwood. While cleaning the piece we noticed a fine hairline in the saucer, adjacent to where the foot of the cup rests. This is not easy to spot unless the light hits it at just the right angle, and is invisible with the cup in place.

A virtual rainbow of butter pats! The delightful "souvenir" so popular with Air France passengers. These butters feature either the "Hippocampus" or "Première" pattern in a variety of Majolica-like colors. Produced for the airline by Gien and St. Clement. Small flaws such as glaze inconsistencies, crazing, or a flea bite or two, are typical on these items; however, all items offered will exhibit only very minor, if any, defects. Beautiful, silver plated, roughly octagonal napkin rings from Air France, impressed with either the "hippocampus" logo, or the variation that appeared on the airline's "Première" pattern china, featuring a conventionalized hippocampe surrounded by stars. These are lovely, as one might expect, and would dress up anyone's table! No manufacturer indicated. All are in excellent condition, showing minor signs of use and minimal wear. A lovely butter from Noritake for Air Siam. At 3¾" in diameter, a bit larger than the typical butter pat, and possibly intended for another condiment. The logo is mid-blue on bright white china. Quality, of course, is excellent.

The classic and very collectible Art Deco "Flagship" pattern flatware from American Airlines. This set is in extremely nice condition with excellent plating. This is the earlier version of the pattern as the knife handle is actually sculpted in the form of the aircraft's fuselage - later versions had plain handles with the streamlined image merely embossed. A must have for your collection of airline flatware!

A wonderful demi cup from Mayer China for American Airlines, featuring a single platinum line, just above the foot. There is also a short brush stroke detail on the handle. Furnished by Minners & Co., and dated 1968. Minimal wear to the platinum decoration.

This is a lovely cup, manufactured for American Airlines by Mayer China, and bearing a 1969 date code. White, with a black "Victorian" iron gate transfer design. A lovely piece!

A lovely bread plate in American's "Baumgardner" pattern. This is a simple and attractive white-on-white pattern which, unfortunately, might not read well in the image; doubtless those of you familiar with it will know! Mayer China, excellent condition.

A wonderful teapot from American Airlines in their "Royal Blue" pattern. With the exception of a factory glaze flaw, this example is near-mint, both the pot and lid being free of nicks or chips. The color is beautiful!

Mayer China - Interpace backstamp on this very nice, 8" plate in American's "Baumgardner" pattern. Minimal, if any, signs of use on this example. Very nice!

This is a great piece from American - a shallow, eared casserole, known as a "shirred egg," with a stainless steel under-liner. The casserole was manufactured by Hall, and features a black exterior, and white interior. The matching under-liner is of heavy, stainless steel, manufactured by Legion Utensils. The pieces bear consecutive part numbers, indicating that they were indeed intended to be a pair. The airline's name appears on the Hall piece, in addition to the name of the maker, and Minner's, the distributor. Neat and unusual!

This is a lovely plate, manufactured for American Airlines by Syracuse China. Just barely off-white, with a cobalt rim bordered by platinum bands. Very nice condition, showing minor signs of use.

A wonderful, globe-shaped glass from American, bearing the large eagle logo enclosed in a circle. Excellent condition. On the item page you will find two variations of this item. Some examples are perfectly clear glass, and others have an extremely pale and subtle gold tint, which is not at all noticeable unless the two are placed side-by-side. The glasses (logo and shape) are otherwise identical.

A wonderful globe-shaped glass from American, bearing the large eagle logo enclosed in a circle. The condition is very good, though the glass does show some evidence of hard water residue and light scratching when held to the light. Still a very nice example.

A lovely cup and saucer in American's "Baumgardner" pattern, which is a white-on-white wave-like design at the rim. We acquired a number of these - most pieces were manufactured by Mayer China, however a few of the cups bear the THC backstamp. All excellent, showing only the occasional tiny factory flaw in the glaze or decoration.

A beautiful, miniature carafe bearing the American eagle in platinum, with an horizontal line indicating 1½ oz. - there is a wider line nearer the top, apparently at the 3 oz. Point, and it is likely the piece was intended for the service of wine as well as liquor. Excellent condition, with light "tarnish" to the eagle, and minor wear to the decoration.

Square, footed plates from American's Oriental service. These plates are cleverly decorated to give the appearance of being hand-glazed, yet close examination reveals that the characteristics of brushwork have been "simulated". Not marked by the maker or the airline, we acquired four of these - one example does have an Oriental character on reverse to give the impression of an artist's signature. Actually nice little plates which could certainly enhance your table! Price each.

A neat, "modern" design for this three-piece set of flatware from American Airlines. Stainless steel, the handles are flat on top and rounded on the reverse. Signs of use but still excellent condition. Very stylish!

A nice menu from American. The cover is printed on brown, textured stock, and features a palm frond mat design. The beverage list and menu selections are printed on a separate sheet of parchment, and stapled within the cover. An attractive menu.

A lovely veggie dish, or perhaps a butter dish, in the "Cobalt & Platinum" pattern from Syracuse China for American Airlines. Excellent condition, including the platinum rim which shows almost no signs of wear. Price each.

A wonderful find! This is a very early, three-piece place setting of silver-plated flatware for Braniff by Oneida Hotel Plate. The handle of each item features an early, circular, globe logo. Condition is very good, and though some wear is apparent, the plating is intact and polishes up nicely. For those of you who might be interested in setting your table with this rare flatware, we were lucky enough to acquire nine complete settings!

This is a magnificent menu from Braniff, circa 1959, featuring a magnificent portrait of one of the airline's new "El Dorado" jets - a Boeing 707 in Braniff's distinctive color scheme. The menu remains in exceptionally fine condition, and includes a small slip of paper within, folded around the metallic silver cord, stating that the airline would be pleased if the traveler kept the menu as a souvenir of the flight. A very, very nice example!

A very nice, small menu featuring Braniff's "El Dorado" crest in gold. The ivory stock on which the cover is printed is embedded with flakes of metallic silver. The menu itself is printed on a separate card, and is held in place at the corners by four diagonal slits cut in the back cover, similar to a photo holder. A beautiful example with no folds, creases, or food stains - the condition certainly belies its age!

A very nice, simply decorated, six piece place setting of Braniff china. White body color with a single grey band. The set consists of a 9" dinner plate, 7" salad plate, 5½" bread plate, 6" soup bowl, and coffee cup and saucer. Manufacturers are ABCO and Rego. All pieces show minor signs of use and wear, and are in excellent condition - no chips or cracks.

The much sought-after black & white coffee mug from Braniff. Though the earliest examples of this mug were made in the USA by Hall China (see item # 11555) this particular example appeared a bit later, and was manufactured for the airline in Japan. Occasionally, examples are found with the mark of a Brazil maker, and even later issues appear in plastic instead of the original ceramic.

One of the six Calder "Flying Colors" prints which decorated menus for Braniff in the 1970's, and were also available upon request from the airline. The artwork was translated from Calder's painting on Braniff's flagship jet. The menu is printed separately from the cover, and is undated. Inserted as well, on a separate, smaller, folded sheet is the wine selection which accompanied the meal. Fine condition, showing only some pale foxing on the reverse.

A really neat, spike shaped swizzle from Braniff. Solid black, with a raised "BI" - these match the airline's black composite handle flatware of the period. We have not seen too many of this particular design.

A very nice cream pitcher from Oneida, marked on the base with the block letter "BI" logo. Showing signs of wear commensurate with repeated use, but nothing excessive. The piece polishes nicely, and shows no dents. A nice example to add to your Braniff silver service!

A mini stoneware cheese crock from Braniff. Glazed grey with the airline's "BI" logo in blue. Excellent condition and an unusual memento - though typically Braniff!

Black plastic swizzle with a small spoon at one end, and "BI" in raised letters at top. Quite a number of these available; (we are in Dallas!).

A delightful memento from a flight to or from Hawaii on Braniff - an orange surfboard swizzle. The airline's name appears in raised lettering on one side, with "Aloha" on reverse. Very much in keeping with the airline's tradition-breaking reputation!

An extremely nice A.D. cup and saucer in Braniff's classic black & white pattern. The cylindrical coffee cups are quite prevalent; however demi's are rarely seen, and we were delighted to come across this great example! Condition is near-perfect, showing only two tiny scratches in the center of the saucer well (hidden by the cup). Manufactured by ABCO. Very nice!

A lovely, tall, stemmed wine glass from Braniff. Applied logo in white. Very nice condition.

A beautiful coffee server in near-immaculate condition. It is likely this piece saw minimal, if any use. The finish is beautiful, showing only a few light scratches, and we were truly astonished at how well this piece cleaned up after having sat on a shelf in an antique mall for a while. Of Japanese manufacture; the actual maker is not indicated. Marked on the base: "Property of Braniff International Airlines".

An attractive bread plate from Royal Doulton for British Airways. The decoration consists of two adjacent bands; the outer band is platinum, and the inner band is black. We found this in the company of another plate of the same diameter, however this example is "flatter" in form, and the rim does not cup upwards like that of its companion, which is ¼" greater in depth. Condition of this example is excellent to near-mint.

Simple, modern, "teardrop" handle design on each of the three pieces of this set of stainless steel flatware from British Airways. This design was apparently produced for the airline by a number of different manufacturers - each stamped with the airline's name on the reverse.

British Airways exclusive "Concorde" pattern china by Royal Doulton. A delightful design, which features a series of stylized images of the hook-nosed SST on a repeated on a blue band with gold trim.

British Airways "Club" pattern china, manufactured by Royal Doulton. This is a simple pattern consisting of nine small squares arranged in three rows of three each, to form a square shape approximately ½" across. Created for the airline by David Jones Associates Ltd. of London in 1988, and placed into service the following year. Check the listing page for items and quantities available in this pattern.

A simple silver plated tea pot, back marked "BCAL" for British Caledonian Airways. Exhibiting signs of use, minor wear to the plated surface, and a couple of small dings indicative of commercial use.

A beautiful, blue floral decoration on this bowl from Noritake, manufactured for China Airlines. The design is based on a single bloom with extending tendrils and leaves, and features a fine line outermost. The airlines disk logo appears in the backstamp.

A neat little serving dish from Pfaltzgraff. White glazed ceramic with the "globe" logo in relief at the bottom of the bowl. Quite an attractive piece, incised with the airline's name on reverse. Near-mint from the pre-plastic days!

A skier in yellow appears at the top of this swizzle or cocktail; pick, printed with raised letters: "Continental to Denver" - apparently heedless of the fact that very little skiing actually goes on in Denver! A charming memento.

An extremely nice coffee server from Continental Airlines, stamped: "property of…." on the bottom. Brushed stainless steel with a nicely sculpted handle, spout, and finial. Condition is excellent, and a bit more polish could render the piece nearly like new as there are no dings or dents.

Continental Airlines "Monogram Border White" china by Noritake. Coupe shape plates of fine quality, decorated simply with the repeated initials "CA" in block caps at the edge. This white-on-white decoration, unfortunately, defeated our camera. Flatware from the period also features the same, repeated monogram on the handles. Manufactured a in the Philippines; Noritake was (unusually) unable to provide us with any information regarding the production of this china.

A set of six brown plastic cups with a wood grain finish, cast in the shape of hollowed bamboo and impressed with the Continental "contrails" crest. One expects these were used for Pacific flights, either to Hawaii or other island destinations. Some minor signs of use, but still excellent overall, and perfect for your outdoor barbeque!

Wonderful stainless flatware from Oneida for Continental, featuring repeated initials "CA" lengthwise along the handle.
