About Us

At Cabin Class Collectibles, we take great pride in providing for our clients rare and unusual items of memorabilia from the most fantastic moving vehicles ever designed and created by man - the great Ocean Liners. We delight in providing not only quality items, but accurate historical information regarding each piece we offer.

In addition to steamship items and ephemera, we have expanded our scope to include railroad and airline related items. This has been due to the many requests we have received from clients, and to the fact that we often come across these items in our search for liner memorabilia. We are grateful to our many friends who have been of the utmost assistance in expanding our knowledge base in these areas.

We have had many years of experience dealing in antiques and collectible memorabilia. We have developed a world-wide network, which often assists us in locating and acquiring the "one-of-a-kind" item. We take a personal interest in every item we acquire, and every client we serve. We realize that the discriminating collector is looking not only for quality items, but a knowledgeable dealer with confidence in their ability to provide historically accurate information.

Over the years, we have gathered together a large library of research materials, and we are frequently in contact with some of the most respected names in the field of maritime history. We have been pleased to find a vast majority of those experts to be gracious, and more than willing to share their knowledge.

We look forward with pleasure to the opportunity of serving you, and hope you will find an item in our inventory that may fill that void in your collection. We certainly hope you enjoy your visit, and if we can assist you in any way, do not hesitate to let us know!

Thanks for stopping by!

About Our Catalogue

We are very proud to offer quality items of memorabilia. All items in our catalogue (with the exception of current publications), are authentic and original pieces, which were either manufactured for use on board a liner, or used to promote or represent a particular ship or shipping line. All items are in very good to excellent condition unless otherwise specified. In cases where an item’s condition is listed as less than very good, it is due to the fact that the rarity of the piece has dictated its inclusion.

We have attempted to accurately date each item. In most cases, this is relatively simple as most ephemera bears a printed date, (or is postmarked, in the case of postcards). Where no date exists, we have relied on records and recollections of the previous owner when supported by our own research. In cases where no record of a particular item’s manufacture is available, we have supplied the maiden voyage date of the ship in question. Exceptions would be when an undated item has obviously been manufactured much later in a ship’s career. Unless specifically stated in the description, photos or scanned images depict the actual piece being offered. Please do not hesitate to request an image of any item not illustrated.

We have tried to arrange our catalogue in a manner which will make items easy to locate. We have chosen to divide our inventory of steamship items into 7 categories. The categories correspond to an on-board area in which the item would most likely be found. For example: menus in the Dining Room, and stationery in the Writing Room. These categories are listed and described on the Memorabilia Page. Within each category, items are first listed alphabetically by shipping line, then ship name, followed by date. Cunard and Cunard White Star items are listed separately, even though, at times, ship names and dates may overlap. As of October of 1999, we have added pages dedicated to railroad, airline, and hotel & restaurant items. (Please note that our Restaurant Ware catalogue has moved to Dinner In The Diner.com).  Currently, these are single-page listings, but as our inventory in these areas grows, we plan to subdivide the pages in a manner similar to that of our steamship item listings; e.g. the Railroad category will include the Dining Car, the Club Car, the Baggage Car, etc..
