From the collection of Joan Dextraze comes this incredible half figure. A grainy, black and white image of this doll appears on page 488 of The Collectors' Encyclopedia of Half-Dolls, and she is noted as having been offered at auction in the 1970's by Christies. She is said to have been sculpted to represent a Russian Diaghilev dancer. We're pleased and delighted to be able to let you see this rare and dramatic figure in full color! |

Another of Joan's dolls is this classic figure from W. Goebel's Biedermeier series. She is a beautifully sculpted and decorated model, complete with the rose transfers found on models of the Biedermeier series. Unquestionably a figure which would be a stand-out in anyone's collection. |
