diaghilev dancer half figure

From the collection of Joan Dextraze comes this incredible half figure. A grainy, black and white image of this doll appears on page 488 of The Collectors' Encyclopedia of Half-Dolls, and she is noted as having been offered at auction in the 1970's by Christies. She is said to have been sculpted to represent a Russian Diaghilev dancer.  We're pleased and delighted to be able to let you see this rare and dramatic figure in full color!

Another of Joan's dolls is this classic figure from W. Goebel's Biedermeier series. She is a beautifully sculpted and decorated model, complete with the rose transfers found on models of the Biedermeier series. Unquestionably a figure which would be a stand-out in anyone's collection.
