It is apparent that as the size of the half figures was reduced, Japanese decorators tended to apply more and brighter colors! This little lady sports a lavender bow on her bright green hat, which matches the green panel on her yellow bodice. Some small fragments of porcelain remain between her left arm and torso, indicating that she was rather hastily and not completely "fettled". Stamped: "Japan" on the reverse.

A simple but striking Japanese figure due to her vibrant yellow-orange hair! Stamped on the reverse in red: "Made in Japan". She has carelessly smudged her lipstick onto her chin, and there is a bit of wear to the hair color on the top of her head, but she is not otherwise damaged.

The Japanese version of a popular Flapper half figure. A simple model, decorated in two-tone green over white. There is a small brown spot on the brim of her hat, but it appears as if this is just an errant swipe of the brush by the decorator while coloring the figure's hair. She is stamped: "Made in Japan" on her back, and incised with a star symbol, as well as the numbers "106".

We believe this figure to be a Japanese copy of one of the more common Flapper models to appear, even though she is indeed numbered, "937". She is quite colorful, however the quality of the paint application seems a bit below what one would expect on a German model. The indistinct appearance of the number gives the impression that a complete and numbered German figure may have been "borrowed" to create the mold for this figure. | SOLD

Here we have a brown haired Flapper with a pink dress and headband, wearing a blue wrap. Stamped "Made in Japan" inside her base. Just a touch of wear to her hair on the back of her head. No chips or cracks. | SOLD
