This little lady looks somewhat familiar, and though we have seen a number of dolls with their arms positioned in a similar fashion, none have the distinctively styled, auburn hair of this figure. She has a charming expression - heart-shaped lips, and grey eye shadow applied to her upper and lower lids. She is numbered - it appears to be 6056, though the last digit is difficult to discern. She is stamped "Germany" on the inside of her base. There are also some small, red marks, which could be mistaken for the number "10." However, these are merely brush marks left by the decorator, as he or she put a fine point on the brush prior to painting her lips. Condition is perfect. | SOLD

A gorgeous and extremely rare figure which we can attribute to the firm of Dressel and Kister. Though dolls from this company are more commonly found with a tapered base, flared base models are indeed known. This model is incised 4767 over 7. For those of you who have "Encyclopedia" in your libraries, the tapered base version of this model appears on page 26. You may also find the clothed version on page 306, featuring an identical flared base, which is closed on the bottom. This doll holds a five-petal yellow flower - we initially though that it might have been a rose with broken petals, but we are now convinced it is as originally modeled by the artist. A magnificent, lovely, and rare figure. | SOLD

This is an example of the tiny figure attributed, due to her "TP" markings, to the Goebel factory. In addition to being incised "TP77", this figure is also stamped "Germany" in black along the bottom edge of her base, (in tiny letters!). Blue bodice and pink flowers - the decorator has been attentive to detail on this figure, as a single, tiny brush stroke in green indicates the flower stems protruding from beneath her hands. A very nice example of this petite half doll. | SOLD

The features of this simple but lovely Goebel figure are very nicely painted. She is incised with the Goebel trademark on her back, just above her waist. She is also incised along her base: "Germany 1806/1" and appears to have been stamped "Germany" along the bottom rim of the base, though it is a bit difficult to read. A very nice example of this figure. | SOLD

A petite nude, holding un her right hand a single, pink rose. Her left hand is at her hip, and inverted, making her appear to be striking a rather coy pose. Her face appears quite tiny, and is almost lost within a mound of light brown curls. She is small, but delicately sculpted, with the little finger of both hands extended - amazing that these have survived unbroken! Her mold was marked both with a number and with "Germany," but only a small portion of the mark is visible. A truly charming model.

Here we have a truly magnificent half figure. She is absent of any mark, but unquestionably of German origins. She possesses one of the most finely detailed faces we have seen, and the artist who decorated her must have taken great care. She is absolutely lovely. Her upturned hand is an unusual feature, and both hands feature delicate, separately sculpted fingers. The combed effect in her grey hair is subtle, and adds wonderful dimension. An exquisite example. | SOLD

A lovely figure, and though she does not bear the trademark "WG," we feel quite confident in labeling her as having been manufactured by Goebel. Her mold was marked "119," (the first digit is partially obscured by a sew hole) and "Bavaria" has been stamped along the bottom edge of her base. Also, "K5" appears, applied very finely with a brush - this could be a decorator's mark. The choice of colors is quite complimentary, and her face is wonderfully rendered. A fine figure in pristine condition. | SOLD
