The German Doll Company is currently issuing reproductions of 1920's bathing beauties and mermaids. Though they do indeed mark their products, but it seems that the unscrupulous are cleverly removing the marks and offering these items as original.* We have been sold these items, and even after careful examination cannot detect any tampering whatsoever!  Please visit the German Doll Company Website at: www.german-doll.com and familiarize yourself with their products. As always, it only takes one or two bad apples to spoil the barrel. Though 99.9% of the collectors and dealers in this hobby are kind, considerate, and honest, "caveat emptor" must always apply!
