As the result of an overseas assignment, Half-Doll Heaven.com will be closed until further notice. At the request of our friends and clients, the website will remain online for reference purposes for the present time. We continue to experience difficulties corresponding with our clients who happen to be AOL customers. We are sorry to find the need to post messages like this one, and it is a pity that dealers feel the need to be deceptive regarding damaged or repaired figures. We do not wish or intend to indicate guilt or innocence on the part of the following sellers, but we do want buyers to be forewarned when purchasing figures.

Collectors Beware! - Bathing Beauties and Other Altered Reproductions Surfacing

We are sorry to report that we are aware that reproduction bathing beauties, half dolls, and powder boxes, and other figures by the German Doll Company are being altered by unscrupulous dealers, and offered as original, vintage items. We have been sold two of these figures recently. The German Doll Company does mark their figures, however the marks can be sanded off or otherwise removed by a determined forger. Please be assured that we will never intentionally offer a reproduction figure on this Website. We make every effort to authenticate our figures. As always, it is a pity that a very few must tarnish what is a truly wonderful hobby for many in their attempt to "make a buck".

Should any of you been foiled in an attempt to contact us recently, please be advised that we have our mail account with MSN, and they have been experiencing tremendous difficulties throughout their entire network over the past weeks, and a majority of email messages sent to us have been bounced back to the senders. We have temporarily reconfigured all Half Doll Heaven email to be forwarded to another account while we are in the process of changing ISPs, and should now be able to receive messages.
