Here at Cabin Class Collectibles, we have been offering fine examples of memorabilia and collectible items online since 1997. We are truly delighted, with the creation of Half Doll Heaven, to be able to expand our scope and offer collectors a much needed online resource for the myriad of marvelous miniature collectible figures known as "half dolls". 

One might wonder how a company which is known world-wide as a purveyor of ocean liner memorabilia ever became interested in half dolls! The chief reason stems from the fact that mom has been an avid collector for many years. We have, in our constant searching for items for our own inventory, been able to contribute many figures to her impressive collection and learn much about them in the process. We will also refer you to Shona and Marc Lorrin's book, The Half-Doll, in which is pictured a marvelous figure which was apparently purchased on board the Hamburg American Liner SS Deutschland, complete with a celluloid tag bearing the steamship company's logo!  Were we to locate one of these extremely rare figures, we would likely have quite a time trying to decide which website to place her on!  But we digress......!

Though much remains unknown about these wonderful little figures, which were originally created to adorn every-day items from the lady's dressing table, we hope to be able to provide, (along with the figures themselves) accurate historical information. We also hope that, as the site grows, those of you who are in possession of additional reference materials, or may have access to other sources of information, will share it with us.

In our many years dealing with collectible items in a specific category, we have been lucky enough to develop a large network of dealers in general antiques who have an eye for that special item. We are greatly indebted to those who have assisted us, not only by providing merchandise, but also by pointing us in the right direction when they, themselves, did not have exactly what we were looking for.

Our goal, as always, is to provide superior customer service. The Internet can be a personal, as well as an impersonal medium. We prefer to promote the former, and always look forward to meeting and making new friends, and exchanging information and ideas. We realize that, for many of you, purchasing items online is a new experience. We intend to make every attempt to make your experience with us a pleasant and satisfying one!

We have tried to arrange our site in a logical manner. Certainly, as our inventory grows, various subcategories may be necessary in order to make browsing easier. For now, we hope you will be able to find various figures with ease. Of course we would appreciate any comments you might have.
