IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! As a result of an overseas assignment, and beginning 2 April, 2005, Dinner In The Diner.com will be closed until further notice. At the request of our friends and clients our website will remain online for reference purposes. However, we will be unable to accept and process orders during our absence. 1) We sell all items on a first come basis, therefore all items are subject to prior sale. 2) We guarantee the authenticity of our items. We do not sell reproductions. 3) All prices are listed in U.S. currency. 4) Packages destined for addresses within the United States will be sent via USPS Priority Mail unless an alternate carrier is requested, and charges will apply to your order dependant upon the size and weight of your package. When placing an order by mail, please phone or email to obtain the actual shipping rates prior to sending your check. All orders under $25.00 are subject to a $2.50 handling charge, in addition to postage. Please contact us for international shipping and insurance rates. 5) Please do not request that we submit false documentation regarding the actual value of merchandise or the nature of the shipment. We realize that taxes and tariffs on international shipments can be expensive, however penalties for evading taxes can be even more costly, especially when they jeopardize our ability to remain in business! 6) The buyer is responsible for insurance on all items. Postal insurance rates are minimal, and certainly worth it! A majority of our items are irreplaceable, and we cannot be held responsible for uninsured items lost or damaged during shipping. 7) We do not ship C.O.D. 8) The majority of our customers receive their orders within 5-7 days. We do, on occasion, schedule extended buying trips in order to acquire new merchandise. A note to this effect will appear on our "Announcements" page. Should you place an order during our absence, please allow additional time for processing and delivery. 9) Payment by check or money order, VISA, MasterCard, or American Express. Do not send cash. Secure Online Ordering Is Now Available! 10) Please include item numbers and descriptions with your order, and use our print-out order form if ordering by post. 11) All items are in very good to excellent condition, unless otherwise specified. Topmarked china items are graded individually. See the "About Condition" link on the individual restaurant china pattern pages for our grading standards as they apply to our stock china patterns. 12) Where multiple items are listed, price is per item unless otherwise specified. 13) Full refund within 7 days of receipt of items if not fully satisfied.* 14) Returned items must be insured for their full value. 15) Texas residents must add sales tax. * We go to great lengths to accurately identify and date items, and we will be the first to admit that this is not an exact science. We have also tried to be honest in describing any flaws, or signs of wear. All of our items are authentic, and therefore normal aging is to be expected. This will not be considered a flaw, unless it detrimentally affects the piece in some way. If, for any reason, you feel we have misrepresented an item, please return it within 7 days of receipt for a full refund of the purchase price. Our "On Hold" Policy We will gladly place any item on hold for a period of 10 days upon receipt of an email or telephone confirmation of your intent to purchase. Should payment not arrive within 10 days, the item will returned to inventory. We make every attempt to keep our site up-to-date, but please do not hesitate to inquire about any item which appears as "On Hold" in our catalogue.
