n.y.k. line bouillon cup
Pattern description: This pattern consists of overglaze decal decoration: a floral band, approximately 3/8" in width, in red and mustard. The line's crest, the house flag placed at center of a life ring, with "N.Y.K. Line" on a scrolled banner, appears once, in red. Handles and details are lined in red as well.
Pattern notes: The logo in the image at left has discolored, we believe, due to salt water immersion (this piece was likely recovered from a sunken vessel) and generally appears an even, bright red. Some items are known to have a darker red hand applied to the two bands on the house flag. Body color is bright white. China is fine grade.
