| Pattern description:
This probably should be classified more as a glaze treatment than as a
pattern, but certainly needs to be documented! A cream colored under-glaze
with an over-glaze (apparently known as a "luster" in the ceramics
world, though there is nothing particularly lustrous about this example) of a thin, coffee color. This, dependent upon the item,
can have either a "dripping" effect, or merely a mottled
appearance, and varies in degree of darkness. Pattern notes: Some examples of this pattern variation are almost impossible to distinguish from the plain cream-colored "Cube's"; but it seems this double glaze treatment was much less prone to crazing than that found on the plain examples, which can be a distinguishing factor.
