compania la flech item detail
Pattern description: A magnificent flow blue pattern consisting of what appear to be magnolia blossoms, buds, and leaves, interwoven with a geometric design. The logo is the line's house flag which features the line's initials in white on six horizontal alternating red and blue stripes.
Pattern notes: This pattern is known to have been used by the Dominion Line as well. Regarding the writing which appears on this plate: this piece was "liberated" by a U.S. sailor on board the USS New York on April 22, 1898. The plate was taken as a souvenir from the vessel "Pedro", which was the first ship captured while attempting to run the Cuban Blockade which went into effect on that date.
