IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

As a result of an overseas assignment, and beginning 2 April, 2005, Dinner In The Diner.com will be closed until further notice. At the request of many, our website will remain online for reference purposes and for the enjoyment of our friends and clients.  However, we will unfortunately be unable to accept and process orders during our absence.  We have also found it necessary to close our outlet at Dallas' Love Field Antique Mall.  Our return is currently scheduled for Fall 2005, and we will post further announcements regarding the future of our business at that time.   Thank you to all for your support and encouragement!

Attention AOL Subscribers!

Please note that we are currently experiencing an issue with AOL, which affects our clients who happen to be AOL customers and are unable to receive email from us.  AOL, so far, seems unable to resolve this on-going problem, and we do apologize for the inconvenience.  There is no legitimate reason for AOL to filter our messages, but they continue to do so, either intentionally or unintentionally, for unknown reasons.  However, we are able to receive email from AOL customers, so If you are an AOL client and wish to get in contact with us, please phone our office at: (972)235-8639, or email your telephone number and the best time to phone, and we will return your call!

Happy New Year!

We are looking forward to a great year, and are working hard to increase our inventory and expand our selection of vintage restaurant ware. Watch for a new feature, currently in the works, which will allow you to browse our stock pattern selection by thumbnail images, as well as by pattern names.  We hope, as few pattern names are generally known, that this will help those of you to find your pattern or patterns more quickly and easily. This feature should be available within a week or two, so keep watching!

Our Holiday Schedule

Please note that we will be available to take your last-minute holiday orders. However, we will be closed from December 24 through January 6. This will be a bit of a vacation; but as usual, we will be hitting all the antique malls and shops we come across, so be on the lookout for new merchandise upon our return. Best wishes to all for the season, and thoughts of peace for the New Year!

Moving On!

Much is happening here at Dinner In The Diner.com. Thanks to all our clients, we are currently the fastest growing restaurant china site on the Internet! We are proud, this week, to have been approved as a Martha Stewart.com associate website. In the coming months, you will see us in print, and here us on the radio. We will also be moving some of our rapidly growing inventory to a location which will be open to the public, so those of you coming to the Dallas area will be able to visit us!

Please note that we are becoming increasingly involved with groups promoting the preservation of the diner and the roadside restaurant, and you will find links to various organizations throughout our site. Should any of you have the opportunity to correspond with any of our link partners, please tell them we sent you!

Though our search for new merchandise is time consuming, we continue to devote time to research and pattern identification, and must post a note of thanks to Ruth Hancock and the volunteer archivists at Syracuse China, who have provided their invaluable assistance.

Thanks again to all of you who have helped to make Dinner In The Diner.com a success! Whether you're looking for items for your collection or table, or just enjoy browsing our catalogue of (currently) 500+ restaurant and commercial china patterns, we're delighted to be able to bring our site to you via the World Wide Web!

Rebuild Complete!

We are truly pleased to announce that we have completed our site "re-format," and hope you are all pleased with the results!  We will now be concentrating on building up our inventory of stock china patterns - many thanks to those of you who have already registered your designs with us!  We feel this will be a great tool when out looking for new merchandise - no need to guess whether or not a pattern will be popular!

Our forum is now up and running, and is a great place to share your thoughts and have your questions answered.  We feel an honest exchange of ideas to be of prime importance, and appreciate all opinions and points of view!

Remember, both the forum and pattern registry are free, and should we contact you when items in your pattern or patterns are located, there is absolutely no obligation to purchase!

Thanks again to all of you who have sent along your comments and compliments - keep your suggestions coming!

Major Changes to the Site!

In addition to reconstructing our stock pattern section to accommodate an increased inventory of vintage patterns, we have now added secure, online ordering, and a restaurant china pattern registration form for those of you who collect a specific stock pattern and have a few items missing from your table setting. We are truly excited about bringing a much-needed restaurant china replacement service to the web, so please pardon our "dust" as we re-build to accommodate these new features.  Let us know what you think!

Welcome to Dinner In The Diner.com at Cabin Class Collectibles! We are delighted to be able to present this new site, dedicated to the collectors and lovers of restaurant china. We must first thank all of you who helped make the restaurant china pages at Cabin Class Collectibles such a tremendous success. We couldn't help but feel that our commercial china inventory deserved a site of its own, and so we've created a "spin-off" site just for restaurant ware. Of course, we will be expanding our inventory to fill all these new pages. Our steamship, railroad, and airline china will remain on the Cabin Class site. We have kept our basic structure and categories to make your switch to browsing the new site as seamless as possible. As there will be some kinks as we make the switch, please contact us should you find anything on the site that seems not just right. Thanks again to all our friends and client, and we do hope you'll enjoy the new site!

And for something completely different, please visit another of our new ventures: Half Doll Heaven, a site for collectors of china half-dolls, pincushion dolls, bathing beauties, and dresser figures. You will find the site at: www.halfdollheaven.com . Another member of the Cabin Class Collectibles family comes to the Internet!
