At Cabin Class Collectibles we have been offering fine examples of collectible memorabilia and ephemera online since 1997. Our business grew out of our own interests, and the interests of a family of collectors. Those of you who know us will know it all began with steamship and ocean liner memorabilia. Due to tremendous interest, and interest in transportation collectibles in general, we gradually added railroad and airline collectibles to our inventory.

While in search for memorabilia to add to our catalogue, we could not help but acquire a few examples of interesting commercial or restaurant china along the way. Of course, one of the finest sources for information, Barbara Conroy's Restaurant China, Vols. 1 and 2, could not help but inspire us further, and prompted us to delve more deeply into the world of "diner china".

Our first pieces of restaurant ware appeared on the Cabin Class site in 1999, and we received such a wonderful response to the inclusion of the first few items that we were inspired to search more diligently for interesting and vintage pieces. As our inventory grew, so did the need for more descriptive categories and, of course, more space! We soon reached the point where we knew our selection of restaurant ware would require its own site, and Dinner In The Diner.com was born.

As with Cabin Class Collectibles, our goal with this site is not only to provide interesting items, but to offer helpful information as well. In addition to our inventory, you will find information regarding pattern history, and helpful links to other sources which may assist you with identifying, cataloguing, and obtaining information regarding the items in your own collection.
