Fantastic
café ware from Wallace! These items come from the Grand Canyon
Cafe, located in Williams, Arizona - the "Gateway to the Grand
Canyon." The town of Williams is noted as the location of the
famed "Rod's Steakhouse" - a Route 66 institution, still
in business today. We have yet to learn anything of the history of
the Grand Canyon Cafe - either its former location, or the
significance of the two cattle brands, which appear prominently in
the decoration. We will let the image speak for itself! The
"imperfections" listed below are indeed quite minor; but
as the plate and fruit bowl listed first are in very near mint
condition, we felt the need to make a distinction.
