Decoration: Red
Pattern Description: Traditional Oriental "Willow" design,
featuring an elaborate and intricately detailed border and vignette
center. All decoration is transfer print in red on white body. Circa
1940's.
Notes: Some early examples of this pattern feature a custom
backstamp consisting of a miniature vignette with the pattern name
and: "Engraved from the original plates 1832." Color can
vary between examples from a pure red to a more pinkish tone. Hard
to find, and considered very collectible. As one
might expect, this pattern was also produced in the traditional
blue. |
