Pattern Description: Transfer print decoration in rust on white
body. Principal elements are paired torches with ribbon, laurel
garland, and a linear, geometric border design. 1930's-1940's.
Notes: It is quite possible that this pattern was inspired by the
1932 Olympic Games, which were held in Los Angeles on July 30
through August 14; though we have not yet found documentation to
confirm this. This pattern is also seen in darker brown on tan body. |
