Pattern Description: Overglaze decal decoration (Violet Spray 73505)
featuring floral sprays composed of violets and daisies of varying
numbers and arrangements. Body color is white. 1919-1970's.
Notes: First produced in 1919, this decoration was adapted by
Syracuse from a violet pattern on fine china by Haviland. The
daisies were added by Syracuse, and the pattern was initially
created for the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad. A custom
backstamp was specified for items destined for the railroad's use,
but it is apparent that this was not always applied. |
