Pattern Description: A "decalcomania" decoration
consisting of large and small (alternating) floral sprays in blue,
rust, orange, and green adjacent to a black line placed outermost.
The line is deliberately rough in appearance. Body color is white.
1930's-1950's.
Notes: It is interesting to note that the entire decoration is
applied as a decal, including the line. Since it is nearly
impossible to apply a perfectly smooth, even line in decal form, the
designer quite cleverly gave it a rough appearance to mask any minor
flaws that might have occurred in application. |
