Body Color:
White
Decoration: Blue
Pattern Description: Blue pigment applied to the recesses of the
Econo-Rim embossed "egg & dart" decoration. White
body. Circa 1930's-1950's.
Notes: "Artint" is the name given by Syracuse to the
process of applying a band of color to the embossed rim, and then
wiping away the excess, leaving pigment only in the recesses of the
design. Produced in several colors, and found frequently on tan
body; Artint can be pattern of decoration on its own, but also
appears as an
added detail with some decalcomania designs. |
