Body Color:
Tan
Decoration: Burgundy, maroon
Pattern Description: Hand painted lines and band treatment, with a
single, "V" shaped element composed of two, short brush
strokes, and placed at intervals. Decoration is a deep burgundy and
maroon on tan, Adobe Ware body. 1930's-1940's.
Notes: Syracuse provides only a number designation, P-93, for this
pattern. Our inspiration for the name of this pattern is artist Adelaide Alsop Robineau, a noted pottery painter who
contributed a number of pattern designs to Syracuse. This is not one
of her decorations; but as the chief design element is composed of
brush strokes, we felt it an appropriate tribute to her talents. |
