Body Color:
White
Decoration: Orange (pumpkin)
Pattern Description: Transfer print decoration featuring
chrysanthemum and carnation-like blooms appearing alternately on an
orange band with acanthus. 1940's-1950's.
Notes: This pattern appears in green in a 1941 Syracuse
distributors' catalogue. The placement of the main floral elements
(rendered by an illustrator) is different than that which appears on
this example; however the archivists at Syracuse have confirmed this
as the same pattern, and the differences due, possibly, to artistic license. |
