Body Color:
Tan
Decoration: Rust, brown
Pattern Description: Brown line/band placed outermost, and
rust-orange band placed innermost on tan (Adobe) Econo-Rim shape.
1940's-1950's.
Notes: A great pattern which we wish was a bit more plentiful! Thankfully,
"Roundelay" mixes well with a number of others, including
Syracuse's "Brownwood," a three-line treatment, and Shenango's "Inca Sunset."
This pattern is collected
by railroad aficionados, due to its use by the Bangor &
Aroostook, though apparently never backstamped for the railroad.
Often referred to as "Aroostook" in railroadiana collectors'
circles. |
