Body Color:
Ivory
Decoration: Rust, black
Pattern Description: An elaborate border design featuring acanthus
scrolls, flowers, leaves, and beads. 1940's - 1960's.
Notes: This is a very popular restaurant pattern with a classical
look, which graced the tables of innumerable establishments. Webster
is often associated with the Fred Harvey chain, and is documented as having been used at
the El Tovar Hotel in the Grand Canyon. We also have in our archive
a delightful postcard from Rod's 1920's Road House of West Orange,
New Jersey, showing a fully-set dining room with Webster on the
tables! |
