Pattern Description: Shadowtone design featuring silhouettes of spruce
trees and a leaping antelope.
Notes: Syracuse called this type of stencil-over-stencil, airbrushed
decoration "Shadowtone." A bear appears in place of the
antelope (though not leaping!) on cups, and it is
possible that other animals (an eagle has been reported) were incorporated in the design as
well; however, each may have been considered a different and
distinct pattern.
Syracuse identifies this decoration as Shadowtone # 5 -
"Deer." |
