Pattern Description: Stencil "Shadowtone" aquatic foliage in light grey and
pink on Morwel shape. 1950's.
Notes: This pattern is called "Flamingo Reeds" when
applied to Syracuse's "Shelledge" shape, and
"Ballet" (as illustrated) on Morwel. (It was not uncommon
for Syracuse to use different names for a single decoration when
applied to different shapes.) Though no fish appear in this particular design,
it falls into the category of "fish bowl"
patterns - very popular, and sometimes exceptionally colorful.
Ballet mixes wonderfully with Syracuse's "Deep Sea Fish"
in pink. |
