Body Color:
White
Decoration: Bright green, pink/green decal
Pattern Description: Wide, bright green band on rim of plates and
exterior of cups and bowls. Underglaze decal of pink rhododendron.
Notes: Syracuse produced this pattern as well, and items from both
makers are often found intermingled. The two patterns are nearly
indistinguishable from one another; although close examination will
reveal that the flowers on Syracuse items are more azalea-like,
having more numerous petals. This pattern was created for Dorothy
Draper's inspired decoration of the Greenbrier Hotel in White
Sulphur Springs, and has been in continuous use for many years. |
