Body Color:
White
Decoration: Red (pink)
Pattern Description: Transfer print border featuring a number of
different rose varieties in bloom, with rosebuds and leaves against
a halftone background, covering the entire rim. With or without
vignette center, illustrating the Red Lion Inn with 'coach-and-four'
in the foreground. White body. Circa 1940's-1980's
Notes: A very collectible pattern. One can expect some variation in
the depth of color, due mainly to the extended period of time during
which this popular pattern was produced. Color can range from a true
red to a pinkish tone, but the continuity of design will overcome
the minor variations in tone, allowing items to blend easily. |
