Body Color:
Ivory
Decoration: Red green, blue, orange
Pattern Description: Hand painted, Quimper pottery inspired border
decoration. Flowers, leaves, and berries are applied with a simple
"brush stroke" technique, with a green line outermost, and
a fine green line innermost. Body color is ivory. Circa
1940's-1950's.
Notes: A beautiful pattern! The body color is a deeper ivory than
our image indicates. "Brittany" appears similar to a
decoration noted in The Official Guide to Railroad Dining Car
China as having been used by the Tennessee Central Railroad. |
