Body Color:
Tan
Decoration: Red, yellow, dark green
Pattern Description: Hand painted fruit and berries in red and
yellow, with dark green leaves. Yellow band on rim; tan, "Inca
Ware" body. 1930's-1940's.
Notes: A rare and gorgeous pattern from Shenango. In addition to the
beautifully executed design, the bright yellow band on the rim
creates a striking effect. "Hand Painted" often appears in
the backstamp - either as a secondary stamp or hand lettered by the
decorator - and
what is likely the pattern number: "30050" (also applied by hand) is
added to some items. |
