Pattern Description: Underglaze decal decoration, The principal
element is a large, star-shaped flower in light blue, with brown
stems and leaves. The width of the decal border exceeds that of the
rim. Tan body, "Roloc" backstamp. Circa 1940's.
Notes: Seldom are we so impressed by restaurant ware decoration as
we were when we first saw this magnificent and rare pattern! Truly
incredible! There is just enough cobalt in the pigment used to give
the large flower a slight flow blue effect, which is especially
striking on the tan body. We can't say enough about this amazing and
unusual design. |
