Body Color:
Tan
Decoration: Multicolor
Pattern Description: Overlapping diamond & triangular shapes in
olive green, red, blue, and black, placed at intervals along a black
line/band at the verge. Additionally, a star-shaped element appears
at center of plates & bowls. Circa 1950.
Notes: Quite an unusual pattern, which crosses the line between Art
Deco and southwestern. Perfect as a compliment or accent to plain,
tan-bodied ware. For an interesting effect, try mixing Kaleidoscope
with Syracuse China's "Zephyr" pattern. Examples have been
discovered backstamped: "Made Expressly for Cody's Café,
Hobbs, New Mexico." |
