Pattern Description: A striking and colorful, Art Deco influenced
pattern consisting of holly leaves and berries, cloud shapes, and abstract
images in red, yellow-orange, pale green, and black.
Notes: A great accent pattern, which can mix with a number of
different patterns, due to the variety of colors incorporated in the
design. The patent number 67573 appears in the backstamp of some
examples. However, though Buffalo did indeed hold a patent for a
plate decoration bearing that number, the design illustration on
file with the U.S. Patent Office bears not the slightest resemblance
to this one! 1920's. |
