This is a truly delightful plate from the famous Brass Rail. Manufactured by Scammell's Trenton China, and complete with a custom backstamp identifying its origins; the well of the plate is filled with a wonderful scene featuring four gentlemen enjoying a meal and a few pints at the Brass Rail. The vignette is somewhat comical, but truly wonderful in that you can actually see full-sized Scammell service plates on the tables, featuring the same central image that is on this plate! The windows in the background are glazed with bull's eye leaded glass, and feature a "BR" crest at top. Body color is white, and there is a single blue line at the verge. The establishment's name appears in fancy, olive green lettering, outlined and shaded in rust. A truly wonderful memento from this noted eatery! Mfg.: Scammell's Trenton China Circa: 1930
