Restaurants and Cafés - La Placita

A neat
topmark applied to Syracuse's "Patio" pattern. Also known as
the "La Placita Dining Rooms," this wonderful restaurant in
is located in Old Town, Albuquerque, at 208 San Felipe Street NW.
The numerous rooms which house the restaurant were once the old Armijo
house - a portion of which is an adobe structure originally built in 1706.
The restaurant is known as a "must dine" for its history and ambience
when traveling
along old Route 66. We took the cup illustrated along with us on our
Summer, 2003 buying trip, and our waitress was kind enough to fill
it with coffee for us! The crest within the cup still appears on the
sign over the restaurant's main entrance. Apparently, La Placita
used Syracuse's "Patio" for some time; though, in later
years, the crest was removed as a cost-saving measure.
