This is a
great pattern, which we call "Kaleidoscope." Tan body,
with olive green, red, blue, and black decoration. Plates and bowls
feature a star or pinwheel-like decoration at center. (See our
Iroquois stock pattern page). No topmark, items are backstamped:
"Made Expressly For Cody's Café, Hobbs, New Mexico. We carried
the little creamer illustrated with us on our Summer, 2003 buying
trip through New Mexico, and found the café's last address (319 W.
Broadway) in a number of Hobbs city directories from 1938-1955.
Sadly, though, the location revealed only a narrow, vacant lot
between two buildings.
