Gorgeous
china from Shenango, featuring large swags of rose garland, linked
at the rim by a continuous band of overlapping laurel leaves. The name
"Messinger's" replaces a single floral swag. All decoration in a
teal blue on white. The distributor's name is included in the
backstamp: Jack Winter Restaurant Supply Co. of Chicago. This, of
course, may be a clue indicating the approximate locale of the
establishment; but we have, as yet, found no confirmation. Some
surface wear on the item illustrated, but this detracts minimally
from the truly lovely decoration.
