A
very attractive dinner plate from Mayer, featuring a hand-painted,
camel-colored, "fade-out" band around the rim. The backstamp on this
piece contains a great deal of information. In addition to the
manufacturer's name and date code, the distributor's name, Minners
& Co. of New York, also appears. Also stamped: "Made
Expressly for Club 133" (was there a question?) "Hand
Painted," and "Patented". This simple design must
have made for quite an attractive table setting. Very nice condition
with few utensil marks.
