Truly
lovely china for the Hotel-Buccaneer. Manufactured in Germany, and
furnished by T.M. James and Sons of Kansas City. We suspect this
china may have a Gulf Coast origin, but have not yet discovered it.
The pattern is beautiful, featuring pink and blue blooms with green
leaves - the border broken once to allow for the hotels' crest,
which is a wonderfully rendered stern view of a Spanish galleon
under sail, with "Hotel-Buccaneer" below. The decoration
is applied overglaze, and there is light wear to the outer band. The
china itself is in fine condition. A lovely and unusual piece!
