Gorgeous
china from Scammell for the historic Berkeley Carteret Oceanside
Hotel in Asbury Park, New Jersey. This 1920's-era hotel was closed in the
1980's, but underwent a 20 million dollar renovation and
restoration, and now, once again, caters to guests in a style
befitting its history. The china is lovely, featuring a large,
heraldic crest, and three smaller crests (one of the smaller crests
is illustrated in the close-up). The fine details have softened
during firing, but this does not detract from the elegant design.
