A
truly magnificent service plate from Detroit's famous Hotel Tuller.
The graceful structure is beautifully rendered at the center of the
well; in fact, a slightly altered version of this image was used for
the hotel's postcards. A wonderful, Art Nouveau designs consisting
of acanthus and fruit decorate the rim, somewhat garishly offset (by
today's standards) by red and blue lines and bands. A few knife
marks and minor wear on this rare and wonderful example!
