Quite a rare and interesting, early pattern from Hilton, featuring their "Minimax" logo (Minimum Cost, Maximum Service). The underglaze decal decoration on these items is quite colorful and elaborate. One sees a woman with an urn at the foot of a path which leads under a garden trellis to a small cottage. At right swims a swan beneath a golden tree - undoubtedly there's a story to this one! Mfg.: Scammell Circa: 1930's

A very unusual plate from Mayer China, made expressly for the Hilton Hotel chain. White well with a pale peach/ivory rim and white star design. Evenly spaced around the rim are six portraits of US Presidents. Featured on one of the examples available are Presidents 29-34, and on the other, Presidents 21, 23, and 25 - 28. Excellent condition, with minor manufacturing flaws but almost no signs of use or wear. We would appreciate anyone who might forward information regarding these plates and their probable companions!
